iKeep my SPAMboX Availble FOR YOU. ;))) presents a selection of works that examine vitality, online-ness, and new ontologies of the Internet; surveying how practices emerge and can be experimented with in the context of novel online infrastructures. The exhibition features work by Dan Bourke, @id.acco, Martina Raponi and Paul Sutherland.
Paul Sutherland is a PhD researcher investigating the online aesthetics emerging from post-truth epistemology. Paul has an artistic background in digital photography, video and print and has a keen interest in practices that use image culture as a creative resource. Paul has written for Do Not Research and the Institute of Network Cultures and has facilitated the Perth iteration of the internet cinema event, Open Secret.
Dan Bourke (1988, Australia) is an artist based in Boorloo/Perth, WA. Working between studio, curatorial, and publishing practices, he appropriates and subverts existing models to explore themes such as the nature, ethics, and business of creative labour; economies within the contemporary art world; forms of representation; and systems of taste and value. He currently runs Benchpress, a small Risograph-based printing press, and Adult Contemporary, an artist-run initiative and bookshop. He is represented by AVA.
Martina Raponi is co-founder of noiserr, an interdisciplinary research group focused on noise. With artist [M] Dudeck, Martina founded the Ansible Institute, a transitory speculative fiction laboratory. She is part of N.R.U. (Noise Research Union), is an art theory tutor at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and a PhD candidate at ASCA, University of Amsterdam.
